Self

Erica D Porter Season 13 Episode 7

Have you ever paused to consider what truly defines you—not on the outside, but in the way you touch the lives of others? This episode of EndorphasMIC invites you to question the essence of your true self, urging you to live each moment with honesty, integrity, and gratitude. It’s about transforming life’s inevitable obstacles into opportunities for growth and finding joy in the everyday moments that define our legacy.

Speaker 1:

Welcome to Endorphasm, where we talk about all things. Endorphasm, I am your hostess, erica Porter. I live for the joy of life, embracing honesty, integrity, gratitude and other core values that guide me. I strive to make each interaction meaningful, sharing something of substance, and, while cancer has deepened my perspective, I don't let it define me. Life's lesson isn't about dying. It's about living fully, and I've always known I would chart my own course, building something lasting and impactful. I believe in facing life's challenges with resilience, knowing that, while we can't control, is to embrace each moment, turn obstacles into opportunities and let luck meet preparation, hold on to wonder and inspire others to dream. Life is about living fully, making a difference and seizing every moment. So I guess my hope for each of you is to take a moment and to reflect on the current path that you're on and where you see yourself in the future, but to really pay attention to the now, to embrace each moment, to honor where you are now.

Speaker 1:

As I've told people over the very many years that I've been working in health and fitness, is that if you don't respect where you are right now, you will never respect the path that you're on. I have said it a million times and I will say it a million times more the reflection in the mirror is not your true self. The true self is if you close your eyes and you envision the person that you are and you reflect on how you make people feel and you pay attention to what really matters. Because I know for sure, even though I work out and I work my ass off and I love that feeling, but when I'm on my deathbed I hope to God or when I die, that nobody is talking about my. She had a banging body, it's gone through its things, but, more importantly, I hope that people will be discussing how I made them feel.

Speaker 1:

So maybe it's time to take a journey of your own of self-reflection. Close your eyes and pay attention to the person that you are and do you live for the joy of life and what things do you embrace, whether they're honesty, integrity, gratitude or whatever it might be. What do you strive for? Do the interactions that you have on a daily basis, whether it's somebody that you just met or you've known your entire life are they meaningful? Do you share something of substance? Are you charting your own course? Things to think about? I love you guys With that love, health and happiness and always much respect.
